Abstract

Based on the China Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum project, LIULI composite panels are applied to a building façade on a large scale internationally for the first time. To further enhance the efficiency, safety, and stability of LIULI curtain wall installation, an in-depth design of large-scale corrugated three-dimensional LIULI composite curtain wall systems was conducted. According to the façade geometry and visual perception requirements, four categories of LIULI composite curtain wall unit panels were designed. Each unit panel achieves 3D spatial positioning through differentiated elevations at its four corners, and employs a slot-in snap-fit fixing system to simplify the installation and securing of LIULI composite panels, thereby improving both safety and efficiency in large-scale construction. To reinforce the safety rating of the LIULI composite panels, a dual fixation system of "adhesive–mechanical composite" was developed by combining sealant bonding of aluminum alloy auxiliary frames with perimeter mechanical fixing using stainless steel edge protectors, which fully guarantees the high safety and high stability of the structural system of LIULI composite curtain walls.
